ANN JONES, BA

ABOUT MY PRACTICE

Welcome and hello! I’m Ann, and I’m glad you’re here! I am grateful that you’re taking a moment to get to know me, and I hope to have the privilege of doing the same for you.

I am committed to providing an attuned and compassionate therapeutic environment—I want you to feel heard, valued, and respected. I am dedicated to supporting and empowering you on your journey toward healing, autonomy, self-advocacy, and self-discovery. I honor and respect diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences and aim to provide inclusive care; integrity and confidentiality are at the core of my beliefs. I believe the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—is the focus of our time together, and I recognize the interconnectedness of the many aspects of well-being. Our work will focus on your strengths and resilience to help you heal your wounds, achieve your goals, and live a fully authentic life.

My approach is guided by Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, somatic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to help you explore and befriend the complexities of your inner world. Together, we will create a safe and nurturing space where you can process your experiences, heal your wounds, and cultivate resilience in your life. I honor the courage it takes to begin the work of healing. I believe in the human spirit's tenacity and our ability to heal, create lasting change, and thrive.

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I bring a wealth of life experiences to my development and practice as a counselor. I have a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education with concentrations in mathematics and accounting; before my counseling journey, I was an auditor, preschool teacher, math tutor, stay-at-home mom, and Trustee at my children’s schools. I am a mother, daughter, and friend.

I, too, have experienced trauma and pain that have challenged and forced me to look inward and work toward healing. My own journey with therapy has been transformative and is the drive behind my work. My focus will be to empower your individual autonomy to live authentically and meaningfully.

I am currently a clinical mental health counseling practicum student. I am supervised by clinical faculty at Northwestern University and my onsite clinical supervisor is Aaron Lauber, LMHC.
